Meadow Walk Homes for Sale — Loris SC [2026]
Chapters

Meadow Walk homes for sale in Loris SC start at $243,490 as of September 2026, and D.R. Horton publishes exactly how big it will be: 92 homesites. It sits on Meadow Walk Loop with seven floor plans from 1,151 to 2,340 square feet, and all three assigned schools are inside four miles.

D.R. Horton calls it "an intimate community with just 92 homesites" offering a "peaceful setting with a true neighborhood feel." This guide covers what is published, what is not, and how Meadow Walk compares to the other Loris community a few miles away. Every figure below was verified on drhorton.com in September 2026. Meadow Walk Homes for Sale

Meadow Walk at a Glance

The sales office is at 7127 Meadow Walk Loop, Loris, SC 29569, open Monday to Saturday 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM and Sunday 12:00 PM to 5:30 PM, on 843-428-8757. The community carries a Now Selling badge and an Express Series designation.

Eleven homes were listed for sale at the time of writing across seven floor plans. With 92 homesites total, that is a community in active build-out rather than one nearing the end.

D.R. Horton publishes its local distances in minutes: 3 to doctors' offices, 7 to local grocery stores and restaurants, 10 to Loris Nature Park, and 13 to both Big Ridge Trail and Diamondback Golf Club. Three minutes to a doctor's office is a short number and a useful one.

Ninety-Two Homesites

Only four D.R. Horton communities in this county publish a homesite count, and Meadow Walk is one of them. Coastal Farms publishes 39, Chapman Village 45, Ravenloft 53 and Evington Place 146. At 92, Meadow Walk sits in the middle.

Knowing the number is worth more than it sounds, because it tells you three things the rest of the page does not. It tells you roughly how long build-out will take, so you can estimate how many years you would live beside construction. It tells you how many households will share any unexpected association cost. And it tells you the scale of the amenity budget — 92 homes will not support a clubhouse and a fitness centre, which is consistent with what the community publishes.

Ask where in the build-out you would be buying, and how many of the 92 remain. No phase information is published, so the sales office is the only source. Early phases usually price lower and offer better lot selection; later ones are quieter with less to choose from.

Six of the seven are single-story, and the three cheapest all come with a one-car garage. That is how the entry price is reached, and it is the specification most likely to catch you out. The Aria at the $270,000s is the cheapest plan here with two bays.

The Cameron at the $259,000s is worth a second look. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms, 1,498 square feet, one level, tied for the second cheapest Cameron in the county. It is the cheapest four-bedroom D.R. Horton builds, and the trade is the single garage bay.

Note that the Dover and the Galen are the same price here, both in the $292,000s. One is a 1,883 square foot single-storey three-bedroom with a flex room; the other is a 2,340 square foot two-storey four-bedroom. If you are between them, there is no money in the decision at all — it is purely about stairs and bedroom count.

Schools, and Two Sets of Numbers

D.R. Horton publishes Loris Elementary at 2.7 miles, Loris Middle School at 3.7 miles and Loris High School at 2.9 miles, all in Horry County Schools. All three inside four miles is a good profile and well ahead of the other Loris and Longs communities except Carrington Woods and Sandridge Park.

The same page also publishes drive times to the same three schools in its amenity list: 7 minutes to Loris Elementary, 9 to Loris High and 13 to Loris Middle. Those do not rank in the same order as the mileages — the high school is nearer by miles but listed as further by minutes than the elementary. Either could be right; the roads between them may simply differ.

It is a small inconsistency and a useful reminder: drive the routes yourself. Mileage and drive time are different things, particularly on rural roads, and the builder's page gives you both without reconciling them.

Verify the assignment with the district. Zones are set by Horry County Schools, not the builder, and they can be redrawn.

What Meadow Walk Does Not Have

D.R. Horton publishes three things: granite countertops in the kitchen, the Home is Connected smart home system, and an HOA. The rest of the amenity list is drive-time callouts. There is no pool, clubhouse, playground, fitness centre, pond, dog park or sidewalk provision published.

That is a thinner package than Sutton Farm a few miles away, which publishes a pool, a dog park and a common area at a lower entry price. It is worth being clear about, because "intimate community with a true neighborhood feel" is a description of scale rather than of facilities.

The HOA is listed with no dues figure published. With no shared facilities to maintain, dues should be modest — and in a 92-home community there are fewer households to spread any unexpected cost across. Ask for the amount, the budget, the reserve study and what the dues cover before you go under contract.

How It Prices Against Sutton Farm

Loris has two D.R. Horton communities and they are a genuine head-to-head. Sutton Farm opens at $232,490 with 11 plans, a pool and a dog park. Meadow Walk opens at $243,490 with seven plans and no shared amenities.

Plan for plan they are close, with Meadow Walk slightly cheaper on the shared plans. The Devon is $250,000s at both. The Cameron is $259,000s here against $261,000s at Sutton Farm. The Aria is $270,000s against $273,000s. The Cali is $277,000s against $281,000s. The Galen is $292,000s against $298,000s.

So the trade is: Sutton Farm has a lower entry price, four more plans, a pool and a dog park; Meadow Walk is marginally cheaper on the plans they share, publishes its homesite count, and publishes all three schools with distances — where Sutton Farm publishes no elementary school at all.

For a household with young children, that last point is decisive and it favours Meadow Walk. For anyone who would use a pool, Sutton Farm is the better buy. Walk both; they are minutes apart.

What to Check Before You Buy Here

  1. Check the garage count on the plan you want. The three cheapest plans all come with a single bay. The Aria at the $270,000s is the cheapest two-bay plan here.
  2. Ask for the HOA documents and the dues figure. No amount is published, and 92 homes is a small base for any unexpected cost.
  3. Ask how many of the 92 homesites remain and which phase is releasing. D.R. Horton publishes the total and nothing about the phasing.
  4. Drive the school routes. The page publishes mileages and drive times that do not rank in the same order.
  5. Walk Sutton Farm the same day. It is minutes away, opens $11,000 lower, and publishes a pool and a dog park — but no elementary school.
  6. Price the Dover against the Galen. They cost the same here and are completely different houses.
  7. Bring your own agent to the first visit. The agent in the model home works for D.R. Horton. In most cases your agent has to be present at your first visit for you to be registered, and that registration is what lets them represent you through contract, options and walkthrough. See our guides to making an offer and getting pre-approved.
